"What happens when the ‘truth’ we’ve always believed in was never truly solid to begin with?"
Parallaxerror, an exhibition by artists A Kid From Yesterday and Fartboil, offers a space that does not provide answers but instead invites viewers to question everything they once held as true. Inspired by scientific principles and social constructs, the artists explore the idea that truth shifts depending on where we stand that when we view the world from a different angle, reality may no longer look the same.

The exhibition was born from the friendship between two artists who grew up in very different environments. Though they often approach the world from opposing viewpoints, their contrasting perspectives became the foundation for this collaborative project. Parallaxerror invites audiences to observe “truth” through multiple lenses — and to embrace the possibility that it may never look the same again.
Will Free: Do We Truly Have Freedom? In Will Free, A Kid From Yesterday confronts viewers with their own reflection, asking whether the “freedom” we experience is truly our own or merely a projection of others’ expectations.
In another work, Truth or Dare, the artist challenges the concept of absolute belief. It questions whether the truths we cling to might, in fact, be too fragile to trust entirely.
Grief, Loss and the Healing Power of Drawing
Beneath the playful visuals and cartoon-like characters lies a deeper story. A Kid From Yesterday uses art as a medium to process grief following the loss of his mother.
"Drawing helped me heal and reminded me that art can be a place where we truly belong."Fartboil: Visualizing the Contradictions Within Society
On the other side of the exhibition, Fartboil presents a series of character-driven works, using oil on canvas to depict the contradictions and confusion of modern life where noise often overwhelms clarity, and the signal gets lost.
In Mixed Signals, a character appears to offer a flower, yet its ambiguous gesture creates uncertainty. The piece reflects how intentions can be misread, especially in human relationships and communication.
In Put the Mask On, the artist critiques the social masks we are often expected to wear, even when we feel deeply uncomfortable. Another standout work, Little Devil at Play, portrays a character in a seemingly playful moment, while subtly exposing a dark and ironic commentary on societal norms.
"Fartboil’s work does not tell us how to feel. Instead, it opens up space for individual interpretation."
Parallaxerror: Cracks That Invite Us to Rethink Realit
This exhibition does not portray distortion as a flaw. Rather, it frames it as an entry point to a clearer understanding of the real world that becomes visible only when we are willing to view it from another angle.
